We’re Not Waiting on the Future, We’re Building It.

We are living in wild, exciting times.

Things are moving fast. SO SO Fast. Tech is evolving, the world’s changing, and while that brings a lot of opportunity, it also brings a lot of uncertainty. There’s this mix of excitement and  anxiety. A feeling that we’re standing right on the edge of something huge… but we’re not exactly sure what it means for all of us.

Every day, I’m surrounded by tech that has the potential to completely transform lives — but the question that keeps sitting with me is: Who’s being left behind while all of this is happening?

That’s the question that led to Project Future back in 2019. And it’s the same question that keeps me grounded today.

Even as I continue my studies in software engineering at the African Leadership University, I find myself thinking constantly about South Africa and Rwanda — the two places I currently call home. Both countries carry so much potential, so much talent, and yet, so many people still face the same problem: limited access

To digital tools, to opportunities, to knowledge.

And that? That’s a real problem. Because the future’s not waiting for anyone.

So today, I want to officially announce something important:

We’re expanding our work in a big way through Project Future Rwanda.

This is our next step. A commitment to make sure digital empowerment isn’t just a buzzword but something people actually feel. Something real, on the ground. So that technology becomes something people can use and grow with, not something they fear or feel shut out from.

My hope? That the next Google, the next Meta, the next game-changing innovation, comes from right here. From this beautiful continent. From someone who had the tools, the access, and the community to build something big. Because the talent is here. The ideas are here. But access shouldn’t be a privilege.

That’s what we’re fighting for.

Project Future has always been about unlocking possibility. And now, we’re in the planning phase to take the work we started in South Africa and bring it to Rwanda, with more urgency, more clarity, and more heart than ever before.

During our pilot ‘era’ over the last few years, many lessons were learnt, many approaches were explored and many leaps were made. This will allow us to more confident in the context of Rwanda.

There’s still so much work to be done. But we’re doing it and it won’t be alone this time.

And I’m honestly grateful that you’re part of it.

We look forward to build something that lasts. For All Of Us.

With love,
